I have signed it. Why won’t the authorities act. The dogs will suffocate and die in terrible pain. This is disgusting.

You might well ask, Kathryn! ACTIN have denuncias in place now, registered the situation with the National Guard and the court and are trying to fast track the case to court. Please, everyone, support ACTIN’s legal team, they need paying – they are animal lovers but they need to earn a living!

Set up a monthly standing order for Actin yesterday. They do brilliant work and they need support.

Absolutely terrible, what on earth is happening to mankind, so distressing that this is what happens in our man made cruel world.

please Spain, step out of your 3rd world status, and start treating animals like the rest of the civilised world do. Show compassion and humility. arrogance and indifference just puts you on the same level as all the countries that are to poor or to ignorant to show compassion to the weaker ones. Start by showing compassion to these poor dogs suffocating in the heat in this container.

I’ve been following this since it started and cannot believe the awful ignorance of the local authorities, police and agricultural ministers in refusing to acknowledge the awful suffering of these dogs. The way that Spain treats its hunting dogs is despicable and has to be stopped! Actin have had the horrible task of taking the police to the container with volunteers with vehicles who were ready to take the animals but the police declared no laws were being broken, and Actin have their hands tied in trying to prove cruelty against these poor dogs and get the laws changed to stop this from happening again…when in their hearts all they must really want to do is break in and set them free! God knows how many dogs have and will continue to die while this farce goes on!

My sentiments too, Sonia. Which is why I am angry and confused that in one part of Spain dogs are allowed to be shut in a windowless metal container in blazing heat, yet in another area a refuge is threatened with closure because it is so overflowing that some of the dogs are kept in places with no windows, and in yet another area people are allowed to go in and rescue dogs shut in dark windowless cells. None of it makes sense!
