Spain in August – the galgo thieves are already at work

21/8/2017 Last Monday night, some unscrupulous people came to steal 12 dogs, all of them galgos except one that was of brackish quality, a shelter that is in a locality of the province of Huelva (we do not specify at the request of the shelter to avoid more damage), after making two holes in the fencing that separated two herds from the shelter.

In this case, the individuals managed to get to nine of them, while another three managed to escape and returned later to the same refuge.

The people who are in charge of it are pending to present the pertinent complaint, although agents of the National Police and the Seprona are already aware in case some of this animals were known.

This event has again shocked the animal community of Huelva, since not many weeks ago also stole five other galgos from the clinic of the veterinarian Puntanimals, which both robberies could relate and be the same individuals.

Those responsible for the shelter expect that the National Police, where the complaint is going to be filed, will be able to clarify this fact and find the animals safe and sound in order to restore them to their shelter.

Meanwhile, they have distributed photos of the animals to ask citizens, if someone or believes identify some of these dogs by any area or capital or province to collaborate and call the police or communicate on Facebook through The page ‘Lost Animals in Huelva’.
