How does your dog deal with death in the family?

Who knows what goes through the mind of a dog when either another family pet, or a family member, dies? My animals (including my horse when his mate died) get depressed, sleep a lot, go off their food. Here’s an interesting article about a funeral home which lets a dog say farewell to it’s deceased owner.

When my latest pet a Greyhound called Mickey-Finn had to be pts because a Large cancerous lump on his knee on his Front Left Leg exploded sending blood poisoning all around his system I brought his 3 mates so they could wish him farewell on going to the RAINBOW Bridge. It really help them to know where he had gone. I also was approached to take another Greyhound called Vicky who had been returned to kennels she had been in Kennels for 4 months. Vicky absolutely adores living with me and my 3 Hounds.
