Since The Federation of animal protection and animal defence associations of the community of Madrid (Fapam), animal justice, the protective society of animals and plants (Spap) and the platform not for hunting with greyhounds and other breeds (NAC Platform) And, therefore, to all the groups representing our associations, we are committed to defending animal rights, whatever their situation of objectification or ill-treatment.
The new law on the welfare, protection and defence of animals which the government of Castile-La Mancha intends to approve, excludes animals involved in activities, during their participation in them. This is a clear justification for dogs or any other animal to be abused, to assault, to cause death, to kill, to abandon, to fire, to harm any type of weapon, etc., given that none of the obligations and prohibitions of This law would apply to them.
The Government of the autonomous community intends to give free access to any action other than the welfare, protection and defence of these animals. It gives free access to ill-Treatment, slaughter and extermination of hunting dogs and other animals. This is completely inconsistent, precarious, outrageous, offensive and embarrassing for the end of the law and it is a clear step backwards in animal protection.
There is currently hardly any action and sanctions imposed against such cruel acts. Impunity with this new law is compounded by not protecting the dogs used to hunt, thereby allowing aggression to be taken, the supply of substances causing them suffering, to be trained by vehicles, etc., by attacking His life and his physical and psychological integrity.
