Here are some pix of 8 dogs who flew from Madrid airport last weekend heading for the US. Here they are being checked in. Alisha Strobel is the flight patron heading to LAX, John Whitaker the patron to Chicago O’Hare. The flight to LAX is sponsored by Galgopod, big thanks for their support.
The Sighthound Underground is one of the more recent galgo adoption associations in the US and depends on their rescue partners, like Podenco Friends/Ibizan Hound Rescue and Scooby Medina, to transport all the dogs to the airport, along with all their passports and health documents. These transporters start their trips in the middle of the night. Thank you to everyone….it truly takes a village!
The dogs made it without problem during the long flight and here are a few pix after landing!
After arrival.

Did the dogs have to stay in an ARK facility when they landed? Thank you. New regulations are making bringing dogs in to the U.S. more complicated. Thank you for helping these wonderful dogs.
Hi Louise, you will need to ask SHUG direct about ARK.
