From Scooby Medina. Lined up, handed over, saved. 25 galgos
Nieves and Fermin set off last week towards Extremadura (Badajoz) to collect 33 galgos and one Breton. With poor road conditions and severe weather alerts, this rescue could not wait.
In the end, 25 dogs made it out. For the galgueros, a handover without regret. For the galgos, the beginning of a new chance. It won’t be easy or immediate, but this is where everything begins.
25 galgos.
Exhausted bodies.
Lost eyes.
Now safe.
These are their first hours at Scooby.
They step off the van unsure.
They eat.
They rest.
They begin to settle.
This isn’t happiness yet.
It’s the beginning of safety.
The hunt ends here.
A new life begins.
