  • Galgo Zac with Scooby – hoping for a forever home

    Scooby black galgo 400 10 7 2019
It’s sad that black dogs are the last to get adopted because when in good condition, their gleaming shiny black coats are stunning. I don’t think any other colour shines like black. Imagine this boy with a gorgeous colourful galgo collar…he’s with Cobie at Scooby in Valladolid.

‘Have you ever seen a more gorgeous, black galgo than this one? That´s almost impossible…This is Zar and he was in the perrera municipal from Valladolid but now he is safe in the Scooby residencia. Three years young and super sweet and affectionate!’

Contact Scooby if you can offer him a home and a place in your heart forever.

  • Support the Blue Cross initiative

Not about galgos, but please support the Blue Cross initiative. Read the full article on this link where you can download a template letter to your UK MP.

The Blue Cross Charity want the law changed for stray section 1 dogs. They contacted David Rutley MP, ministerwith responsibility for animal welface and invited the minister to meet with us to discuss how the law could change to make it legal for Blue Cross and other rescue charities to find loving new homes for stray section 1 dogs. We are also continuing to meet with MPs and Lords from all parties to ask them to back our campaign in both houses of parliament.

  • Tiny galgo puppies left to die in a concrete drain! Scooby to the rescue

Scooby to the rescue, thank goodness for them. The only positive in this story is that the puppies had not been dropped down a well…as often happens…at least in this concrete ‘tank’ they could be seen and easily caught.

    From Cobie at Valladolid.

    Now safe in Scooby Medina…

Why are there people so cruel? They are only two babies! Two little galgos, a little more than a month old, that someone has left in an old water tank, over two meters high and full of dirt and debris.

  • SOS Galgos educating the next generation

    SOS Galgos educating children 400 5 2019
Several of the galgo rescue associations work on educating the younger generation of children that cruelty to animals is not acceptable. SOS Galgos recently visited a school of 4-5 years olds to talk about galgos and what lovely companion animals they make.

    See the photos here.

Greyhound racing should be banned, it is not a sport but a form of cruelty perpetrated by sick bastards who use the hounds as money-making machines and not as sentient beings. And the GBGB is a huge liar, we know that from past denials they have made!

  • Ann’s Canine Care – the power of sharing appeals for forever homes

PLEASE DON’T UNDERESTIMATE THE POWER OF SHARING

Anns Canine Care power of sharing 400 25 4 2019
One day a very special person called your guardian angel saw how sad you were because you thought that nobody loved you.

But this angel saw your beautiful heart and wanted to share it, and just knew that there was somebody out there searching for this beautiful heart.

Now a lady that was looking for your beautiful heart couldn’t find you. She searched everywhere, in the woods, over the mountains, and across the seas. She asked the moon and the stars and they didn’t know where you were, So she felt very sad too!

But then one day a little bird visited the lady that was looking for you and your beautiful heart and told her There is a guardian angel on facebook and she is sharing a beautiful heart. Perhaps that’s the heart you are looking for.
