Galga puppy Evy on the mend with Galgo’s Rescue Almeria
A while ago I reported about pregnant galga Dana with Galgos Rescue Almeria. She safely delivered 8 pups but sadly 4 of them didn’t survive. Here’s the latest news about them.
We have had to separate one of the 3 puppies from her brother and sister. This little timid girl was unfortunately bitten by her sister. The injury in her neck was a little bit too serious to ignore. She stays now in our house to recover in peace.
Update little Evy:
It’s now 4 days that we took this little girl away from her baby sister & brother because she was attacked. At this moment she’s doing better and the wound is healed.
Evy is still tiny but she’s playful and eating well. If she continues to make progress she will receive her second vaccination just like her sister & brother.

Galgo puppies dumped by the gypsies – safe with Galgos Rescue Almeria
From Sandy Galgoslover.
‘These 3 galgo puppies were dumped a couple of days ago by gypsies in Vicar. They are malnourished, dehydrated and probably also full of fleas and ticks. They need to be rescued as soon as possible before they end up back with this evil scum.
More than ever we need your help, these 3 little ones need medical care, vaccinations, deworming, treatment against fleas, ticks…At this moment we have a huge outstanding bill at our vet and no funds are coming in.
For these puppies GRA is going to do what’s necessary to help and find them good homes.
All help is welcome to help these 3.
Like we always say ‘together we can achieve more for those who need our help the most’.

Protectora Scooby – please donate for flea & tick treatment
Protectora Scooby have hundreds of rescued dogs and cats in their shelters and desperately need to give them treatment. Here’s what they say.‘Raising money for Protective and Sanctuary Scooby and your contribution will make a difference regardless of the amount. Any help counts. Thank you for your support. We need to deworm our dogs and cats, both those who are already in the shelter and those who are arriving and as they have to do both external and internally, and it is not the same to do so with 50 animals as with 200. We have sought an effective and very comfortable product for dogs (CREDELIO PLUS) as with a single pill, furry ones are protected for a month from ticks, fleas and gut worms.
When placing the order directly from the supplier, the product comes out more economical but we have a large number of animals and need to raise €2500,00. Can you give us a donation please, no matter how small.
How to donate, including paypal.

Galgo Rescue Almeria – Dana and 8 babies added to the fold
Galga Mama Dana recently gave birth to 8 beautiful galgo puppies. It’s going to take a few weeks before the little ones are well enough to play outside. A few months ago we build 2 new quarantine kennels to give mum’s with puppies the necessary privacy and space to raise their puppies. At this moment the puppies who were born at GRA weren’t allowed to go outside outside their kennel to protect them from PARVO or other viruses. We only could let them playing outside at the age of 4 months. Therefore we’re now building a secure / safe outside area on the 2 kennels so the new born can get a chance to go out and explore new things. So every help is welcome to cover costs of materials etc…….

In Seville – Galga Alma rescued in a pitiful state – safe with Asociacion de Cantillana
From Asociacion Animalista de Cantillana, Vidanimalis. In Seville province‘When we think we’ve seen everything… when you think you’re already strong…. comes Alma to show us that human evil can go much further.
His case has broken us inside but we have to keep fighting.
This little girl has been rescued tonight in the conditions we show you. Luckily, tomorrow she will be moved first thing in the morning to a prote that will give her everything she needs.
Sorry for the harsh images but not seeing only makes us ignorant.
Go Alma, your life can only get better now.’

Galga Gina – back with Galgos Rescue Almeria after her operation
From Sandy Galgoslover – please donate to the vet fees as Galgos Rescue Almeria is a small shelter with several dogs on medication for leishmania, and Sandy and John always put the dogs’ medical care first.‘Our old lady is back home. We picked up Gina from the traumatologist. The surgery went well, now she has to recover and rest a lot.
Next week a check up to see how the wound has healed and within 6 weeks new X-rays will be made to see if the fracture has sutured correctly.
You still can support Gina by donating through the fundraising below or PayPal : Galgosrescuealmeria@gmail.com https://gofund.me/6663ca5e
