Why your dog should be sterilized – prevent Pyometra
Good afternoon from the Scooby family.
We want to present you a serious illness that requires urgent surgery and can be avoided by sterilization.
Pyometra or uterus infection whose symptoms are fever, loss of appetite and in many cases increase in water consumption and if not treated urgently can cause death in a very short time.
There are two types, open and close. The open is easier to observe as the female begins to stain down the vulva. While closed is more dangerous because often when the family realizes the animal is sick it may be too late.
That’s why and many other reasons we always advise you to sterilize your best friend!’

Sad story of Galgo Simon with Galgos 112
Life is hard for galgos and podencos in Spain and the Spanish Islands. The hunters just don’t care. Thank goodness for the volunteers and rescue associations who do. Sadly no matter how hard Galgos 112 tried to help this poor injured galgo, he didn’t make it.
‘We called you Simon and we believed you would be part of our family, but it couldn’t be, leaving us shattered. Recently we received the notice of a greyhound bleeding in Linares, our partner Maria quickly went to get him, got him in the car and urgently moved to the Aimar Clinic. The vet managed to stop the bleeding and when he was already cauterizing the serious wound that cut his artery, the poor galgo had a cardiac arrest that was impossible to go back.

Galgos 112 rescue 2 galgos from a reservoir
2 starving galgos luckily rescued by volunteers with Galgos 112. Here’s the story.‘Look at the state in which these two puppies were rescued in a watering raft, damn rafts with no exit ramps where hundreds of animals die.
To our little ones we do not know if they were thrown in or fell looking for water. What we do know is that if they had not been rescued, today they would be dead.
And abdolutely nothing would happen either to change things in Spain, two deaths more to add to the thousands of deaths that matter very little or nothing to the government and certain sectors of this society.
