For Cesar, the reception wass a very special moment: “It’s been a dream, a chulada. See all of the galgos coming toward you … has been a magical moment’. All the galgos are waiting for their forever homes.

A happy ending for two young galgos – Badajoz to Madrid!
Do you remember the two young brindle galgos cowering terrified in Badajoz perrera. They have been adopted by a couple in Madrid and here they are on their way to their forever home. How I wish that to be the happy ending for every dog which finds itself in the killing stations, whatever its breed or mix.

Here is a beautiful young galga with Galgos del Norte, hoping for her forever home. some lovely pix of her on this link. Leah is a gorgeous galguita, a little shy at first but as soon as you are with her a little while, she loses her fear and comes to be caressed. She is quiet and obedient, walks by your side, likes other dogs but is nervous in the beginning. Bullas, Murcia, rescue – exposing the shame of Spain
Here are some photos of the rescue at Bullas, Murcia, on Friday, 9th March 2012. (most are on Facebook). Story on Podenco Post. You will see there were alsations, podencos, pointers, galgos…..some chained up in vans and trucks, some outside in the intense heat with no shade, chained to trees, no food, no water. The white dog has ticks behind its ears and down its spine.

Jerez galgos – 22nd March is D-Day
I understand all the dogs were rescued from Bullas today, apart from some puppies which the bastard owner had hidden! But let’s not forget that there are still dozens of galgos arriving in the killing stations too.
