Update on Toledo galga caught in a wire trap
Here are the photos of the Toledo galga who had chewed through her foot to escape a wire snare. The flesh was being attacked by maggots. Some of the photos are not very pleasant, but rest assured that she had the best of veterinary treatment and is now in foster care. Hanged galga in Toledo – saved! Trapped galga in Toledo – saved! Please help with vet fees
This galga was hung last week. Luckily she was rescued before she died, and is now in the care of L’Europe des Levriers.
Her trachea was severed by the thin rope around her neck and her lungs were very infected. Her neck had two holes from the trachea and worms and lots of shit were inside. The most complicated was that there were also very thin bots in the wound.
The galga was also suffering from a undernourishment and her liver and her kidneys had infection.

Now I’ll ask you all a question – if I applied to your association to adopt a dog, would you refuse me – on the basis that I’m 64 years old, been married for 41 years, work from home, had dogs all my life? Would you?

Rufo & Ken, two galgos with Galgo Connection Spain – seeking their forever homes
This little chap has been named Rufo. He was found abandoned, suffering from a serious eye infection which rendered him blind. He was rescued and taken into the caring hands of Silvia of Galgo Connection Spain. His eye infection has been treated, his eyes are much improved – as you can see from these photos – although he is still receiving medication to clear the infection completely. Now he needs his forever home.
