Galga Esperanza Walks!

Here is the latest video of Esperanza, the galga brutally beaten and left for dead in a rubbish container. She Walks! Incredible commitment from all her caring team, and what a fighter is this amazing lady – given a second chance at life.

Here’s what Nuria, of El Albergue, writes about this amazing galga.

It´s already been 2months since Esperanza was rescued and her progress is simply amazing. She has gained some weight and she´s cheerful and lively. She now raises her head to look around, wags her tail, and calls for her foster parents whenever she needs anything. Her body holds better everyday, and she acts more and more like any other dog. Esperanza eats well, her ear infection is gone, and her body looks stronger. Her hind legs respond well, although they´re not strong enough yet. Her front legs are weaker, but they are responding well to the massages and exercises recommended by the traumatologist.

Although she still very limited, she´s moving in the right direction thanks to her extraordinary will and the round-the-clock dedication of her foster parents. She has also started to walk with a custom made walker, and her coordination is better with each passing day.
