On the appeal for help for galgos in Hellin Perrera, there is now a comment that it is suspected that galgos are being bought from there and transported to Italy for breeding. I have asked the commentator to give me more information. Does anyone else know of galgos being bought straight out of perreras and taken elsewhere in Europe for breeding?
I am aware that trafficking does go on, but don’t have any more information.

Oh my god, that would be horrible !!!
Maybe You can contact the people who rescue the dogs from there and ask them if they have any information ?!
i doubt it that someone would buy a galgo for breeding of a perrera and even less without having seen the dog personally. many galgos are mixed with greyhounds and absolutly not interesting for breeding etc. a breeder who wants to get a good galgo can get one with a pedigree for 300eur ,a promising pup, so why should they pay nearly the same for a galgo that comes out of a place with high risk of diseases, a galgo that could have leishmania, a galgo they do not even know the age, a galgo they do not know if it is grey-galgo or grey or galgo… it would be definitivly cheaper and easier to buy a good female and a good stud galgo and breed then buying “used” hounds without knowing anything about them.
i think that is one of the typpical rumors that never get anywhere
