Tina’s Appeal – help save this young injured galga

Pepis galga Tina 2 250This poor galga arrived at Pepis Refuge today. Jane explains.

‘This young girl, who we have now named Tina, was bought to the refuge this afternoon, found limping in the street. A visit to the vets and xrays taken, which shows she has a very severe brake, vet’s opinion is she has been hit with a blunt instrument.

An operation is needed urgently. The bone specialist can do the operation on Monday, 4/11/2013. We are caring for her and she is on strong medication for the pain. The specialist will need to be paid on Monday, we urgently need your help to raise the money, to ease her pain, the cost of the operation will be around, 600 euros.

Can you please help. We are calling this The Tina Appeal. Paypal donations to pepis.dogrefuge@yahoo.co.uk. Please help, Jane and Brian have over 70 dogs to care for at the refuge and they rely solely on donations, they can’t afford to have a big vet bill, but how can they not help this galga – you would, in their situation. Please help.

The poor girls leg looks very swollen and painful. A second’s act of cruelty resulting in so much trauma for Tina and expense for the rescuers. Why???? Donation on way

UPDATE ON TINA: After her vet visit, we took Tina back to the refuge and settled her down for the night, in the Vera Canine Care Centre. She ate a hearty meal and had a restful night. This morning we took her for a gentle walk around the refuge, for her to relieve herself, she has had another meal and her morning tablets and has again settled down. On Monday she goes for her operation. Thank you to everyone who has donated, we’re only half way there, so please ask everyone to help Tina. Jane
