Tico’s bathtime! Here are words from Sandra.
Tico walked by, panicking, dark road of abandonment and distress, carried away by the swing of steps without any sense, direct to certain death. Suddenly, through the darkness, a light blinded him for a moment, “finally someone coming to my rescue,” he thought. But that illusion vanished, remained a wrenching pain that not only broke bones, but the soul. Suddenly HE shot hundreds of feet and HIS body joined the cold and rough asphalt.
That pain never left him, despite his pleas to finish once and for all. Through his eyes he saw his short life go, the love of his mother, who once saw her go with her ”love” and never came back; to each of his friends in their cell, with whom they shared the bread pieces thrown to him on the ground to satisfy the “needles” of the stomach, which already felt like part of it, the gun shots which meant the loss of one of their own … A life of freedom, where the affection, love and the warmth of a family had not been present …
TICO, you are living because you have stolen the hearts of humans.
Tico is for everyone because it is our responsibility, no one here has saved Tico, is he who has us saved us, because he is a great example of overcoming, because Tico wants to see us together and want to enjoy the life that many of us have planned for him.
We are a big family, we have the “obligation” and to fight for him.
Thanks to donators, Sandra received a TENS machine to work Tico’s leg muscles and also a set of wheels.

Two x-rays below showing metal screws in Tico’s legs. Sandra says he can now walk, without wheels!
‘The screws are in to fix the the seventh lumbar vertebra, the previous two had been compressed because of the impact with a vehicle. The capability of walking was not expected. This is the result of good luck, the will of Tico and care of Sandra Campos Cuevas. Tico does not control the back left paw, partially the anal sphincter, the urinary bladder, caused by the trauma to the spinal cord and peripheral nerve endings.
