18 months ago I was contacted by a UK photographer who wanted to visit Spain and photograph the galgos for a book. I pointed him in the direction of people to contact and refuges to visit. It was part of his year out to help animals around the world, which you can read on this link.
His book is now in the pipeline for printing. Here is a video taster which he has launched to presell copies of the book in order to fund the publishing (expensive for such a quality book) and also to raise awareness of the plight of the galgos. Please watch the video and support Martin.

The link is working today but I still cannot email you. The problem seems to be with Yahoo as it says to contact http://postmaster.yahoo.com/errors/postmaster-27.htm for details. Perhaps, you can try to add my email to the accepted email list, sometimes that works!I made a small contribution to Martin’s book. I hope he gets the money he needs. It will be a fantastic book!
What Martin is doing is fantastic, I have read his blog. Just watched the video and backed the project, only £400 or so needed so hoping lots more people back this to make it a success. The photos are beautiful, made me cry, beautiful galgos and podencos. Looking forward to receiving the book when it is launched. Good luck and well done to Martin.
Just had a look again this morning and the project has reached its £10,000 goal, so is funded and will go ahead. Fantastic news and so pleased for Martin and good news for the Spanish hunting dogs.
