DeAnimals – fighting the corner for animal cruelty in Spain

Prohibition order Bullas 400 24 6 2016DeAnimals in Murcia continues to work hard with court cases for maltreatment of animals, plus educating the police, lawyers, judges etc on what actions to take where a case of animal neglect/maltreatment is reported.

Regular readers will remember the case of Operation Rehala – or the BULLAS rescue – where over 120 animals, mostly hunting dogs, were found living in dire conditions.  DeAnimals has pursued this case through the courts and in June 2014  here are the details of the result.

Description of the case:   in Bullas, a village in Murcia a family of farmers (father and son), is allegedly dedicated to breeding and illegal trade with farm animals (sheep, goats, ferrets, horses, hens, partridges) and hunting (galgos and podencos) dogs. Allegedly selling to 50.00 euro, a dog, a sheep, a goat or a ferret and 300,00 euros horse. Having all the animals (160) in 4 facilities, located in different locations in Bullas.
