This galgo was dumped in the Jerez perrera in Cadiz. He was suffering from severe malnutrition, had terrible injuries to his body and was missing part of a hind leg. He was rescued and placed in foster care whilst he recovered to gain strength for an operation. He has been named Mimo.
Last Monday Mimo went into surgery. The operation went well. A partial amputation was done, just were his leg was cut by the hunters trap, so his skin can cover the bone and avoid an infection, this leaves the option for a prosthetic limb in the future when his wounds have healed.
