Cuidad Real is 200km south of Madrid. It is where I went to adopt my first galga 11 years ago. Cuidad Animal shelter is now full to overflowing and yet the volunteers still respond to desperate calls for help. Here’s a translation of the story about these 4 galgos.
‘This is the state where these four galgos have arrived last week, they were in a kennel where we were told, which come from the street or their galgueros that have left them there, there were more but we have brought the most Urgent to save.
The situation is like a wheel that does not stop and it seems that it will never stop. We have to follow the galgos because they don’t deserve the life that they have experienced.
We are full up at the shelter, the foster homes, homes and our homes, so many dogs with everything that is supposed to be in mind, parasites, castration (all are sterilized), vaccines, veterinary checks, analytical, not counting the Cases of hospitalization and surgeries…
We need help, I think, pipettes, donations, but most of all broadcasting for adoption.

One response to “Cuidad Real – Cuidad Animal Shelter – desperate help needed for their galgos”
That poor galgo is like a skeleton. I will donate. I have been on their website, so many dogs waiting to be adopted. There is a dog, Wanda, came into the kennels at 1 year old and is now 11.Ten years! So I hope the piece of crap who abandoned her is really proud of themselves. She looks like my Lina who spent four years in rescue and if it wasn’t for Nobodywantsme.org would be there still.
