Cuidad Animal Shelter – full to overflowing!

Ciudad animal galgos 1 400
Earlier in the week I told you about 4 galgos rescued from abandonment by a galguero and now with Ciudad Animal Association. The shelter desperately needs help, this photo is what the volunteers are coping with now hunting is finished for last season.

‘January, February and March feared the hunting season, and today ending April we are full again, every day we receive a lot of warnings and emergencies for our area, having to say no to many… but also making a huge effort To attend to those cases which are more urgent and where the life of the animal is in danger or is wounded.

If there are warnings on the streets in La Mancha, imagine what is in the kennels of our surroundings… all the cases we see every day of which we can save some but how many stay on the road.

Between the shelter, the foster homes, homes and our homes, you can imagine how we are today, so many dogs with everything that is supposed to be in mind, parasites, castration (to all are sterilizes), vaccines, veterinary checks, analytical, Not counting cases of hospitalization and surgeries…

We need help, pipettes, donations, but most of all broadcasting for adoption.

There are many ways you can help us:

I am so sorry about this, how is this shelter going to cope? The individuals who abandon these dogs are total crap and the authorities who defend these hunters are pondlife. How can this be a supposedly sophisticated European country in 21st century? I donated when I read the last appeal but I will now set up a monthly sponsorship. I appreciate that this won’t even touch the sides but hopefully more people will help too……….

The strain on the volunteers is very hard, knowing that there are many they haven’t room for…and finding adopters is getting harder each year as the abandonment does not lessen. The galgueros are not of this world…
