Galga Arial with Galgo’s Rescue Almeria – having a tough time

GAR Arial 400 20 10 2020
This lovely white galga arrived at Galgo’s Rescue Almeria at the end of September, with a huge growth on her belly. She was spayed and the hernia removed at the same time.

Unfortunately it didn’t heal well, as Sandy explains.

‘9th October – This morning we noticed that Arial’s wound was open again. We went straight to the clinic where she got immediately a first surgical procedure. The vet determined that the growths at the bottom of her belly had grown back a bit. So tomorrow a new procedure to remove the diseased tissue and re-stitch the wound again. Arial will have to stay at the clinic for a few days after the procedure to keep an eye on the wound.

20th October – Yesterday we visited Arial at the clinic. She already had 3 operations but the wound doesn’t seem to close properly. Our poor girl looks sad, it’s been a long time she’s in the clinic now. If the wound stops bleeding she can finally come home end of this week. Due to the severity of the wound and to prevent a possible infection, Arial will be taken care of in a home situation.

All help is welcome to cover medical costs.’
