A friend of our veterinarian Montse de Linares, knowledgeable of the work we do in Galgos112, has contacted us because not the police of a town of Jaén (no matter which, since It’s the usual tonic) and no one listened to him to pick up this poor being, with one leg completely destroyed and another broken as well. Berto as we’ve called him was lying near a place where people sometimes pass by on bikes and that was his luck…
So as volunteers we have neither Sundays nor holidays to save, for there that Maria and Montse our partner have gone and go to Linares to pick it up. He’s so broken the poor thing that he couldn’t even move when they got close, they loaded him very carefully in the car and he’s already at the vet.
We foresee that the recovery process is going to be long and expensive, and right now he is being tested and he is already on medication to relieve the pain, which must be very strong.
