Galgo mother and son rescued from the streets

From Galgos Rescue Almeria

We start the day with some wonderful news from yesterday. In the afternoon, two volunteers set off towards El Ejido to pick up two galgos. For months, Carmen has been working hard to bring a galgo mother to safety—she had recently given birth to nine puppies and still had a young son from a previous litter by her side. Not an easy task, as a galgo used to living on the streets doesn’t allow itself to be caught easily. But perseverance pays off.

Finally, the moment had come: the mother and her son were able to leave for GRA. It was a tense experience for both of them. They were a bit timid and cautious, which is completely normal after a life on the streets. Thankfully, the journey went well and they have now arrived safely at the shelter.

A heartfelt thank you to Dineke and Carin for bringing them to the shelter. This story will undoubtedly continue.
