    A volunteer reports. ‘This week is especially had with the arrival of many galgos and dogs that have been used for hunting and now already kicked out by the thugs of hunters. S.O.S KENNEL BADAJOZ! Curse the hunters and people close to them!

  • Young galga needs someone to take her from the galguera – Badajoz

    Badajoz galga galguera 250 12 2011This little galga in Badajoz is only a year old, and nervous. Her galguera (female, note) says she will not hunt and so she doesn’t want it. I suppose we should be grateful so far she hasn’t abandoned it nor taken it to the perrera. Hopefully one of the Spanish associations or volunteers has taken her. It’s an example of what is going on all the time now, the pressure the volunteers and associations are under. Here’s the email contact, if anyone can help.

  • 15th November 2011 – Badajoz, galgo found hanged

    Hung Galgo Badajoz 15 11 2011 190I make no apologies for posting this photo. On 15th November 2011, this galgo was found hanged by schoolchildren who went hiking in the SIERRA DE TENTUDIA, Badajoz, Extremadura.

    The hunters still claim they do not hang dogs, that all reports are exaggerated. The truth is out there on the Internet for the world to see – THEY LIE

    Pray for the soul of this poor galgo, that its suffering is at an end. Curse the bastard who did this and brings shame on a country where so many brave people work to stop the cruelty, and whose lives are threatened if they expose the truth.

  • Here we are again – galgos still in killing stations from last year’s hunting – now they’re loose again on Spain’s roads……

    Cadiz galgo 250 05 2011 It’s been a never-ending struggle for all the rescue associations in Spain, coping with thousands of galgos and podencos, as well as the thousands of other abandoned and maltreated dogs of Spain. And now, before last season’s detritus has been coped with, the bloody hunters are already abandoning this year’s rejects. Loose on the roads of Andalucia, Murcia….how can the bastards deny what we all know – the majority of them don’t give a bloody damn about the dogs they don’t want to keep.

    Be strong, Spanish volunteers, we are all with you as much as we can be.

  • Olivenza Perrera, Badajoz – Auschwitz for Galgos – and still the hunters deny any cruelty to galgos!!

    Olvenza perrera sign 250 The Hunting season in Spain is about to begin – for ‘hunting’ read also ‘coursing’. The poor rejected galgos and podencos from the 2010 season are still arriving in perreras across Spain for killing, or being abandoned and injured in road accidents.

    The Hunting Federations deny there is any cruelty connected with their members’ treatment of their galgos. They claim that all the scaremongering is because of ‘animal rights’ people lying. They continue to stick their heads up their a…s and ignore the fact that photos and videos abound on the Internet to prove a lie to their claims.

  • Galga and puppies loose in Badajoz

    Badajoz galga 1 250 30 06 2011 This galguita was abandoned a year ago in a field on the outskirts of Badajoz. She is accompanied by one of the puppies left from the previous litter but about a month ago gave birth to another 9. We searched for her for a long time and have finally located the entire family and we need help. Can anyone take or accept either a small puppy or one about 8 months?   • Stolen galgo, anyone going into Olivenza perrera, Badajoz?

    Stolen galgo Badajoz 250 07 06 2011 URGENT PLEASE.! IF SOMEONE IS GOING TO KENNELS (OLIVENZA) PLEASE PAY ATTENTION TO.

    This galgo, called Mory,is one year old and was stolen on 18th February in Almendralejo, Badajoz. Its owners are still desperately trying to find it. This is the only photo we have, but as identification, there is a scar as small as a grain of rice hetween its eyes. The owners are heartbroken. Please, if anyone is going into the Olivenza Perrera, have a look at the galgos.

    Badajoz galga 2 150 19 05 2011 This starving skeletal galgo is wandering the streets of Badajoz, next to a very busy highway; barely strength to stand; a volunteer is now taking him food and water but has nowhere to put him. Has anyone room foe him? xana.50@hotmail.es

    UPDATE – FEPAEX have taken him in, he is no longer lost and on the street.
