I have just received the most sickening photographs of a pointer bitch, 7 years old, called Yeni. She was hung from a metal electricity pylond in Villacanas, Toledo, discovered this week. She was hung from the neck, with her tail and hind legs well on the ground. I dread to think how many days it must have taken before this poor bitch died – starved, dehydrated, eaten by insects……. Loli of the Pedro Munoz refuge in Ciudad Real has denounced this action to the Guardia Civil (read about denuncios in my book). Loli says she is so full of sadness at having been unable to do anything for this poor bitch, except to denounce the barbarity of the man who did this!

What a b…………..l culprit he does not deserve the name of human he is a monster what kind of a heartless person would ever commit such a wanton act of shere cruelty. Poor little girl how she must have suffered. I wonder what crime he thought she comitted to deserve such a slow and agonising death. He must have wanted her to suffer a horiffic death.This realy makes me hopping mad to end a precious life in such a manner what a monster. I know its wrong to wish for bad thing to happen to such a “person” However I wish that he will suffer from all sorts of aches and pains for the rest of his disgusting life.

Actuall, Id cut off one of their hands, one of their legs, and one other male part…..since it is the men who perpetrate these hangings. All without anaesthetic. Oh, and gag them so their screams cant be heard.
I still feel so sick, thinking of what this poor innocent dog suffered.

We pray for poor Yeni, that now she has peace. What a wicked thing to do to an animal. I don’t know if there is a place for Spain in the EU, you know. They seem to have a lot of catching up to do. . . . or maybe there is no place for the UK in the EU, if we are the animal lovers we profess to be?
We hope that if the offenders are found and duly punished, and if mass media broadly highlight the case, the fear of punishment will stop the ones who lack either brain or conscience.
This is animal cruelty at its maximum – if not their conscience, than the law should prevail. Enforcement is only part of the process; Education to the public is required.
Any human who tortures or mistreats or neglects an animal causing pain and suffering, dismemberment and/or death, participates in authorized or un-authorized research, with or without federal funding, withholds food & water and/or medical care is guilty of animal cruelty, an offense punishable to the absolute maximum permitted by law.
What utter barbarians these cruel ‘men’ are. Long may they rot in hell, even that would be too good for them! The women must be spineless individuals as well, to allow such torture to be carried out. I know I wouldn’t allow my husband to carry out any sort of animal torure.
This is happening all of the time everywhere – in China, in parts of Australia, in Spain, Portugal. We must dedicate all of ourselves to working towards real, actual solutions to stop these horrific things from existing once and for all.
These people deserve to die the same way !!! I am so sick and tired of being so angry all the time with people that do things like this to animals, especially animals that have no chance of defending themselves. There is no place on this planet for moronic, idiotic imbeciles like this – they hold no value in society. They don’t have 1 brain cell to share between all of them. It is because of people like this that society is going backwards, and not progressing forward like it should.

You are right, I receive emails with horrific stories from other parts of Europe, they are hanging dogs from trees in Romania now, Hungary, Greece have horrendous stray dog a cat problems, I get appeals for help for them all, but have to restrict myself to the galgos and podencos.
So long as we all keep caring and raising our voices and speaking out for the innocent animals, we have to make a difference somewhere sometime.

Someone once said, it’s easier to believe in the Devil than to believe in God, when you look at what happens. I don’t think there is a God but I certainly believe in Evil and it and it is within some of us. Without being religious about it, I think people like this should be found out and summarily shot for their crimes.

They should be exterminated at some point, certainly, but shooting is too kind, they should be made to suffer pain and distress just the same as they perpetrate on the innocent animals who are their victims.

Sickening, barbaric, demonic behavior. The bastards should be caught & hung on a rope untill they die a slow, miserable death, just like poor Yeni. And there are no animal cruelty laws in Spain? Remind me to never live in Spain! People who harm others for no resound, are a beast that’s lower than a parasite.

Yes, there are laws in Spain to protect animals from cruelty, you can read about them in my book which you can purchase through Galgo News. SEPRONA of the Guardia Civil are supposed to be the animal protection law enforcers but there are three main problems 1) you have to catch the person actually inflicting the cruelty 2) many people are afraid of reporting animal cruelty because of reprisals against them and 3) many of the SEPRONA are themselves hunters, so they will not take action. I could never live in Spain, with all the animal cruelty, considering it is supposed to be a modern Western civilisation, which is why I have the utmost admiration for those who live there and daily try to protect and help the animals.

There’s a lot of things that have happend in this world which are unacceptable, brutal and barbaric and this is one of them! I don’t know even what to write! It’s some kind of nightmare! Let’s get it straight – what kind of mutherfuc… it was!
How heartbreaking these photos are! and to think the Spanish are supposed to be our brothers in the EU! I feel so helpless. All I can do is love Lola, the galga I have – so gentle and so loving, so full of life. Love to all of you who care, who feel a little of Yeni’s pain. Owen.
I´m almost crying seeing these images and if there were not those few good people I would be so ashamed to be from the human race and beg for the totall extinction of our kind. I so hope that the people who have done this to this poor dog get an awfull life! I hope they will suffer and suffer and suffer. Normally I´m a friendly and peacefull person but these kind of cruelty make me go insane. Poor dog, R.I.P. Your death so saddens me, I wished I was there to save you and keep you with all my other 56 animals in my shelter. The more I think about this the more I feel depressed. poor dog, I hope that you run and play in Heaven´s green meadow.
Just when I think I have no tears left I cry for Yeni.

Until the punishment is equal to the abuse, this will NEVER stop. Abuse an animal and you MIGHT get a small fine and probation. Even if a person gets jail time, it is equal to a weekend at club med.

You are so right – the world is mad. I can’t begin to think of the suffering of that poor dog.
A survey done in the UK showed that people who treat animals in this way or denigrate animals not just dogs are found to be subnormal. I don’t think we needed a survey to find this out but it does make it official.
I pity the person that took pleasure in doing this – he or she is going to have one hell of life when they come back to earth. Or if fate catches them beforehand maybe something as bad will happen to them. I pity them but am not sorry for them – it will be poetic justice.

Einfach nur zum Kotzen! Obwohl sonst überzeugter Gewaltverächter – bei solchen Bildern könnte ich jemandem, der einem Tier sowas antut, stundenlang in die Fresse schlagen und ihn danach genau so aufhängen. Sorry, aber das musste jetzt mal raus. Wer einem Tier sowas antut, ist doch völlig krank und hat meiner Meinung nach keine Daseinsberechtigung mehr. Solche Storys machen einfach unendlich traurig und hinterlassen ein Gefühl der Hilflosigkeit. 🙁
