This is the link to ESDAW, a new organisation formed at the beginning of 2011 to work on getting European law on animal protection enforced across all member states. Their vice president lives near to me, so I am looking forward to meeting her and discussing how we can put more pressure on both the EU – and in my case Spain – to help make a difference. I like to think that we will provide support in this area which the marvellous volunteers, associations and refuges in Spain – and across Europe – do not always have the time to devote, as they daily cope with the overwhelming pressure of dealing with abandoned, sick and injured dogs.

There must be laws enforced to protect animals wherever in the world they are. Animal welfare is of the utmost importance. When children or adults show cruelty towards an animal then in turn they turn their wickedness onto other people. History shows that.
Animals have feelings too. All of this abuse must end.
animal abuse is getting worse. if the animals had the same laws as people i’m sure there would be less. there is no difference between us and them, a life is a life. abusers need to fear the wrath of God and learn to respect, protect and cherish animals.
WE AT THE CARE2.COM GLOBAL ANIMAL WELFARE COMMUNITY SUPPORT YOUR EFFORTS TO FIGHT FOR ANIMAL WELFARE LEGISLATION IN EUROPE AND ALL ACROSS THE GLOBE. I WOULD PERSONALLY LIKE TO SEE YOUR EFFORTS EXTEND TO TURKEY AND THE BALKANS, AS THE ANIMALS THERE SEEM TO HAVE BEEN FORGOTTEN BY MUCH OF THE ANIMAL WELFARE COMMUNITY AROUND THE WORLD, DESPITE THEIR DIRE NEED. THANK YOU FOR ALL THAT YOU DO ON BEHALF OF ANIMALS. GOD BLESS ALL CREATURES THAT SHARE THE EARTH WITH MAN. MAY SEE THEY BE THE BENEFACTORS OF CONTINUED LOVE, EMPATHY, AND COMPASSION THE WORLD OVER FOR LIFETIMES TO COME.
Yes, when times get hard, its always the animals which suffer, through no fault of their own. We have to keep plugging away to get animal protection laws enforced and hopefully through the Internet, we will make a difference one day.
Thanks for caring and commenting

Bonjour
Thank you for commenting. ESDAW intends to cover all the EU member states in its work, so Turkey and the Balkans will be included. Please contact them direct through their website. For myself, I focus and the galgos and podencos, because there is so much work to help them, the associations and refuges and shelters that I cannot look at other problems.
Thank you for caring, and make sure to contact ESDAW to help you.
