Ulises in his forever home

Ulises 1 March 2011 250 This is the latest photo of Ulises. Remember him? An abandoned galgo rescued from sickness and starvation by Tina of Galgos del Sol. Amongst his problems, including leishmania, he was suffering from an horrendous skin problem. He travelled to Silvia in Valencia, who has years of experience in caring for extremely sick and injured dogs. Poor boy, he had to have daily baths for several weeks, but gradually his head lifted and he got a wag in his tail.

Ulises 3 March 2011 250 He is now in the perfect forever home for him, in Austria with a vet who specialises in rehabilitating animals. Well done everyone involved in his passage to paradise!

What a fabulous end to this story. Well done to Tina for persevering in rescuing Ulises in the first place and deciding when advice was that perhaps it would be better to put him down that she would fight to make him well again. Not forgetting Silvia, with her great experience in caring for very ill galgos and even better connections, who eventually found him a great forever home. A wonderful result for everyone involved and especially for Ulises.
