i decided to have ana in the begining she is beutiful but i was also keeping up with the news on rey charl was saying to me can you try and get home for rey in your city in the uk the prob was the expence and with rey beeing a keen hunter still deep down i thought i dont think anyone would be experienced enough to deal with the situation i have 2 greys and one of them is 10 this sept and is still keener than ever but i know how to controll when i am out with her i thought it would be best rey comes to me and with his leg now been limited to a lot of physical exercise that must be controlled aswell whilst out walking aswell as his keeness 2 probs in one if you like so later on i was sent a vidio of ana from her foster mam in spain it was from looking at that vidio that i made my mind up for them both ana lokked so content and happy i just got to thinking why dragg her away from one home where she is happy to another she may never settle when ray was instable waiting for his forever home and would free a place up for another lost soul so i emailed charl and told her how i was feeling and what i think would be best for the both of them but left it up to charl on the final decision she agreed and said she would speak to sandra and see how she felt on the matter then the news come that sandra was ready to addopt ana so charl said to me do you want rey the answer was yes so there you are an happy ending for 2 special cases bless and rey will be meeting up with his past kennel partner pollyana when he comes over in sept what a reunion that will be and gandi will be joining in charl you do a fantastick job you are the best

You are an amazing supporter of the galgos, Jen,
and do incredible work fundraising and raising the profile of their plight in
spain. I am soooo pleased that Rey is coming to you, it is the best and
most knowledgeable home he could have, aside from Charl! And great that
Ana will not have another change in her life, and great you are taking her pup
Chloe to home. Bless you.

Same here, Jen. I have the space and
buildings for dozens of them here at my home in France, but I cant afford to
keep them in food and vet fees!! The bergerie used to house 400 sheep, so
you can imagine, it could house a lot of galgos and podencos! xxx

Such lovely happy endings, and what fun you will
have with Rey and Gandalf and Polyana flying the flag for the galgos in the East
of England. Bless you and Jay and the others who have all helped.
Look forward to the updates after Rey arrived.
Great news for Ana, Rey and Chloe! What a good result all round. Gandalf has been doing a great job! After he met a lovely retired (but very active) couple on Sunday and talking to them about the plight of the galgos they ahve offered to become a foster home for East Riding Greyhound Rescue. They are greyhound owners (they got their lovely Ellie from us some years ago) and dedicated to the rehabilitation of dogs that need to learn to trust again. They are going to be on stand-by for a Podenco that is coming over to Uk in August just in case she doesn’t settle in her new home. But once we are sure she is settled we will be looking to bring over another Galgo for homing through our rescue. It’s a small drop in in a very large ocean …
Thanks for sharing Jen..I had heard the story but so loved reading in your own words. Rey needs you that is for sure..experienced and aware of his needs..thank you for adopting this boy…Sept will come soon for the great reunion! Telma
OHHHHH WOW!! That is also fantastic news about Chloe!!!! Great work! so happy for Ana’s pup too….
Hi Jay….great work you have been doing..we all were elated yesterday at the conclusion of the adoption for Pati!! Great you have a backup but I think you will not be needing them! 🙂 I hear Pati will have her own FB page in the near future!! Thanks for all East Riding Greyhound Rescue is doing to help Char and now Silvia! Telma http://www.galgorescue.org

Excellent news Jay. And bless Spanish galgo
Gandalf for getting a foster home for your greys. I sometimes feel bad
that galgos go to the UK when there are so many British greyhounds desperately
needing homes. Bless you and Jen for all your good work.
Hi Beryl – the couple that have offered to foster have said they will take either greyhounds or galgos and podencos for us! If all goes well with Pati and she doesn’t need foster care we may be in a position to bring over another galgo and place it in their home. So many people meet Gandalf and are completely taken with the breed. It is difficult with many greyhounds in need of homes here, but if anyone specifically wishes to home a galgo we will do all we can to help. We do it all for love of the dogs.
