Galgos on death row in perreras Hellin, Badajoz and Mairena

Anke Simonchel 250 7 2012Why am I here, on death row? What did I do wrong? I bear the scars from serving you well, Senor Galguero, even though you starved and beat me. What did I do wrong?

You did nothing wrong, you were simply born a galgo in Spain – from the moment of your conception, you were doomed to a life of hell unless someone with a heart could rescue you!

Are any of these poor galgos safe and reserved yet? We are in Uk so it’s difficult to help directly but we can offer some financial support to any rescue over there that can save a life!

I could offer some money also if any rescue could take them.
    Thanks, Fiona.

Hi Thank you Jay and Fiona; Why
not use Spanish Dictionary and translate what you want to offer into Spanish,
and email the contacts direct. Let me know how you go on.Ill try
and find out, dogs from these perreras are usually only allowed to go to
associations. But its difficult to find out and keep track. Ive to sign
off for the moment, out for the afternoon on physio appointment.

    hi
I emailed and was told that Somoncheli has a possible adoption but not Lola – I was told if I wanted to help I could donate and she could go into a kennel until a home was found but now noone has come back with the bank details.
I have heard nothing re Arizona due to be PTS.

    Hi
i emailed yesterday in spanish referring to Arizona ( due to be PTS on 19th) and said, I would like to adopt her, or, if they say that this is not possible, at least donate some money. But I haven’t received and answer yet…

Hi – I e-mailed two days ago and still have not had replies. I also offered to donate to keep Arizona safe but no response! I will keep trying …

    Hi
I also wrote to a German association asking them to help me in this case (they seem to be in touch with this perrera according to their web-page) – but they also aren’t answering. What’s going on here? Why doesn’t anyone seem to care? Time is running out for poor Arizona.

Your e-mail might be in the spam folder of the organization. I had it when I wanted to adopt my second galga. They answered a week later when they checked their spam inbox folder.
    Better try to call them.
I know of one German lady who tried to reach one of the perrera people without success, that was a perrera in Sevilla. Her e-mail might have been landed in the spam inbox folder, too…

Hi – I’ve just had e-mail from Perrera Badajoz that Arizona will be going to Italy, so she will be safe!

    Hi,
I’ve received a mail from Perrera Badajoz just a few minutes ago. They told me that Arizona is going to an association but didn’t say where. Jay, I have heard nothing good from associations in Italy. They have enough dogs there in their shelters. They often give them away to institutes which make animal testings/experiments. So I am not convinced that Arizona is safe – I can only hope.

Arizona is adopted in Italy. The person for
anyone to contact about the dogs in these perreras is Anke Zeldenhurst.
See details on the post now. Charl really is too busy with her own rescues 3
