Just look at these two little friends, comforting each other at Pepis refuge, Seville. Jane tells their stories.
‘This is Polar, he is 4 months old. He was left at the refuge three weeks ago and has a deformed back leg. He saw the bone specialist and we were told that his leg was broken when he was a tiny baby and as he has grown the leg has become twisted above and below his knee. He will need to have several operations to correct the deformity. We were told that if the leg is not tended too soon, as he grows the leg will not. Who will want to home him as he is….
The black boy, his name is Dillon, was also left at the refuge, at the gates that has a sign saying NO MORE DOGS PLEASE WE ARE FULL, all in Spanish.
