My friend Julie has organised a Neal’s Yard fundraiser for Pepis Refuge. Take a look at her website here, lots of lovely natural products, to treat/pamper yourself and as gifts for friends for Xmas. One of the dogs you will be helping is Petra, who was recently dumped tied to the main gates with a tight cord round her neck. Jane Brian says it is a long time since they have a dog so terrified of life as Petra. Below you can see the neck cord (against Alan’s hand). If you look carefully behind the blue bed, you’ll see her hiding there. It makes it difficult to clean the kennel as, besides humans, she is terrified of the brush, shovel, water to clean the concrete.
With the care and patience of Jane and Alan, Petra will eventually learn that life is not hell, out of the hands of a galguero. That there are kind and caring people in this world.
So please, help feed Petra and the other 77 dogs in Pepis (last photo is of 2 more galgos dumped at the gates last week – order Christmas gifts from Julie. Make sure you go on her weblink, otherwise the proceeds won’t get to Pepis.

Lovely, I love Neal’s Yard. I can really recommend these products if you have sensitive skin. It’s all natural. I have used the skincare, moisturiser, toner and the hair care products are really good. I will buy some bits tomorrow. It’s great that Julie is helping Pepis. Poor Petra, glad that she is safe now with Pepis.
Just bought the shampoo, conditioner, bath oil and lip balm via Julie’s link. Unfortunately only one of those is a Christmas present, the rest are for me – oh well! Looking forward to using the lovely shampoo and conditioner again.
