And the horrors continue. The authorities generally do not control or supervise the condition of the animals. The public often has no access to the animals. Prepare to be astounded at the length of the list!

I’ve just received a letter from Mr Bruce Golding, Prime Minister of Jamaica, advising that ‘The Government has received no request or proposed for and is not considering the granting of permission for the introduction of greyhound racing’.
This is good news for the organisers of the campaign to prevent the introduction of greyhound racing on the island.

On 1 February 2009 on the front page of the Business Report of the Sunday Tribune newspaper there was an article publicising the legalisation of greyhound sport racing. The feeble excuse given for the legal introduction of this sport is job creation for a large number of individuals.
Señor Galguero! Señor galguero, I sat waiting and waiting today as time passed and my hunger grew. You never came, even though we who are here fear your footsteps. You may just bring us those crumbs of bread which we all have to fight for, even though we wish there was enough for us all.
It’s cold in here tonight and the floor is damp, I cannot sit and I cannot lie down but for you”my master” I will wait in the cold and feel the hunger. When I saw you last you came and took my mother, I still await her return but she just has not come back. I don’t understand Señor Galguero, for I am a good Galgo and I try my hardest.
I’ve just received information from Maureen Sheridan at The Animal House in Jamaica that the plans to introduce greyhound racing in Jamaica are moving forward. She’s appealing for as many people as possible to send a protest letter to send to the Prime Minister and the Editor of the Jamaica Observer, which recently carried an anti-greyhound racing article.
