This is about a donkey in Extramadura, a hell hole for galgos and certainly for donkeys.

Here is a list of MEP (Spain) in the Environment, Public Health and Food Safety Division, and from the Group of the Alliance of Liberals and Democrats for Europe
Send a copy of this letter to them
Galgo supporter Valarie Wolf has kindly composed this letter to send to the European Commission and MEPs.
Please copy and paste it and send it to the European Commissioner, you will find other relevant addresses on this weblink.
Thank you for your help and support, Valarie, as always it is very much appreciated.
To….
The following people in the European Parliament have ‘recognised the need for improved animal welfare in Europe’.
John Dalli, the candidate Commissioner for Health and Consumers, stated that animal health and animal welfare will be core issues during his time in office.
Agriculture Commissioner is Dacian Cioloş.
Janez Potočnik is the proposed Environment Commissioner.
I have to admit that at the moment I am heavily occupied with completing a project which is intended for release whilst Spain has the EU presidency. So if anyone would like to compose a letter to all these people and the EU President about the balming and the galgo massacre now under way in Spain, then I will post it on Galgo News for all to copy, paste and send off. This is the link to all the MEPs too.
Those of you lovely supporters and readers of Galgo News in Spain – where does the law stand on ‘citizen’s arrest’? Hubbie just told me about this website – can we copy this to prepare a case against Senor Zapatero or any of the other councillors/politicians, legal enforcement officers’ if people in public office in Spain do not fulfil their election promises?
Ohhh, wouldn’t that be an exciting road to travel! I could get very excited about this!
Scooby Medina is the largest animal refuge centre in Spain. It is in the heart of galgo country; Medina del Campo is also the heart of galgo racing. Fermin Perez, the founder and president of Scooby, along with Anne Finch, founder of Greyhounds in Need, should be created Saints. Their names are synonymous with greyhounds and galgos.
I have recently been advised of a horrendous situation for Scooby and the rest of the world can now read about it here.
This is an example of what the Spanish refuges, shelters and rescue associations suffer. Please give Scooby your support, they have to know we are all behind them.
This is the press release from Greyhound Action.
DON’T ALLOW GREYHOUND RACING IN THE PHILIPPINES!
Worldwide action needed – now!
According to a recent article in the Manila Bulletin the Philippines House of Representatives has agreed to legalise commercial greyhound racing, but the Bill still has to go to the Senate for a final decision.
Valarie Woolf says ‘Here is the webpage with the Philippine Senators. Please, everyone—send emails to them denouncing the approval of the bill that would permit dog racing in the Philippines.’
Click on the photo of each senator for their email address.
Greyhound Action says ‘We’re now waiting to hear from the Phillipines Animal Welfare Society with a list of e-mail addresses of senators for people to contact.’
This is the link to my previous campaign letter to the President of the Philippines.
So, you’re in Villa Martin in Spain? Nice place? Lots of people on holiday? Oh dear, a tornado struck certain areas. Poor people on holiday. Sarcastic, am I? So, why not, what about the San Anton Shelter in Villa Martin?
Who thought about the poor animals there? Who thought about the poor volunteers, devastated after years of hard work to improve conditions for the animals abandoned and saved by San Anton Shelter? Oh, dear, poor holidaymakers!!! Get out there, you holiday makers, and help repair the San Anton Shelter! Do something worthwhile with your life!
