PACMA – raising funds for animal shelters on your Spanish tax return
News from PACMA trying to raise funds for the animal shelters in Spain.
‘Can you imagine being able to check a box to help animals on your tax return?
Well, it is not a dream, and from the Animalist Party we are fighting to make it a reality.
This initiative could change the lives of tens of thousands of animals rescued by animal protection entities, who are going through real economic hardship to be able to support them.
For this reason, the Animalist Party with the Environment (PACMA) has asked the first vice president and Minister of Finance of Castilla, María Jesús Montero, to include animal protection entities in the social purposes box of the Income Tax Declaration.

Galgo Senorito now with Galgo Rescue Almeria – a very sick galgo
‘ A few days ago we collected this galgo at Clínica Veterinaria Puerto De Mazarròn.
In collaboration with Friends of Mazarrón Animals, this big boy, Señorito, can look forward to a new, different and better life.
Unfortunately, he tested positive for both Dirofilaria and Leishmania, 2 of the toughest Mediterranean diseases. How much bad luck can you have. Both originate from a sting of an unsightly mosquito, but a sting with major consequences and if not treated eventually fatal. However, you can perfectly protect them against this with pipettes, collars or even a vaccination. But that costs some money and to hunters their dogs are not worth that to them.

Galgos 112 – young abandoned galgo now safe
From Galgos 112, who have nbeen rescuing Spanish hunting dogs for 16 years.A few days ago we received a notice of this abandoned baby, very hungry and thirsty. What did we do? Being overwhelmed as dogs waiting for a family, we couldn’t look away and luckily for him there was a companion nearby where the little one took refuge.
Result that Tico has joined our family with the extra effort of taking on another daycare payment.
The young boy has been dewormed and cleared from being eaten by fleas and ticks. Not surprising that he’s not carrying a chip.Welcome Ticorrón! Now it’s our turn to ask for help to pay for his daycare, and or family that can take him in while he recovers.
Thank you if you can help.

Galgos 112 – full to bursting but still they find room for abandoned galgos
Hunting in Spain finished at the end of January and of course the Shelters are all full. And with the Spanish hunters not letting up on their overbreeding of their dogs, the situation year on year foes not change.Galgos 112 say this.
A few weeks ago we had to make the hard decision to close our doors to new dogs at least until some of the Galgos and Podencos we have are fostered or adopted by a family.
We can’t keep helping more dogs for two reasons:
1. Out of space for the dogs.
2. Lack of economic capacity to cover all your expenses.Since then we have only attended to some urgent cases to which it was impossible to say no, and they have also arrived at Galgos 112 these two galgos, we believe they are brothers, that someone left tied up at the door of one of the residences we collaborate with. We couldn’t stop helping them.
Their names are Barry and Otis, they are two 3-year-old galgos, unidentified, sociable and not afraid of people. They are healthy and their vet protocol is almost complete. They are available for adoption

Protectora Scooby – galgo with an infected tail
Lately, many galgos have arrived at Scooby from the ones that their owners abandon at the end of the hunting season… Among them this one, the one we had to amputate part of his tail because it was very infected and had been necrosized. He’s recovering nicely now, getting his laser therapy sessions and most of all lots of cuddles.
