  • Life of Hell for dogs in Cartegena, Murcia – Associations please join in to protect them!

Cartegena 1 250 Galgos in south Africa simialr to what I saw in La MagdalenaThis photo is of greyhounds in South Africa. The same thing is going on in Spain with galgos. I’ve received this report and it absolutely sickens me. The Spanish – probably mainly men – in authority turn a blind eye – their hunter ‘brethren’ can get away with torture and murder – BUT let an animal rescue association try to help the dogs. And then there is Hell to Pay from the authorities! Corrupt bastards! Haven’t we had enough of cronyism?!. The majority of them are men, but a few are women. And that sickens me more – they are probably mothers – they give life to a human – they should treasure the birth of life….but life in an animal means nothing to them. They at times are worse than the men!

Cartagena is apparently one of the worst area in Murcia for cruelty against animals.

I have had an organisation in Holland to rescue and help the dogs in Spain. In 2005 I moved to France in order to help more dogs. Foundation Dj-Imba now homes 14 dogs of which 7 greyhounds/galgos (the oldest 18), 5 podenco’s and 2 chinese crested. Most of the dogs are handicapped, old or ill. • Canine love and loyalty – and the bestiality of the Spanish hunters

Here is a story of loyalty and love between dogs. Totally the opposite of the bastard hunter, who left his bloodied shoes behind! For those of you who have not travelled into the Spanish heartlands and hell on earth for galgos, this also gives you an insight into some of the terrain in which they have to survive. Thank you to Valarie Woolf for sending in the translation. So touching.

Fidelidad: A Story of horror, fidelity and hope. Only 50 km from Madrid a galgo (one of many) is abandoned. Someone crosses her path, follows her and wants to help. He sees that she is guarding, that she doesn’t want to leave and she doesn’t want anyone to come near. The dead galga was her friend. A few meters away are the blood smeared shoes and the rest of the rope. (baler twine, impossible to break!)
