Introducing Romero. He was born in the wild in Murcia, no one knows what happened to his mother and siblings. Only 4 months old, he appeared one day with a badly injured hind leg, near a house. Food and water were put down for him, which he consumed after dark, when no humans were about. In terror and considerable pain, he survived in this way. One day he collapsed and was taken by Gaynor to her vet, who had to amputate his badly injured and infected hind leg.
He has lived in the enclosed land at Gaynor’s for the past few months, gradually overcoming his fear of humans until he now snuggles up in a warm bed in the house, accepting caresses from everyone.
1 year-old Romero is now looking for his forever home. He is microchipped, vaccinated and castrated. His leg amputation is completely healed, it doesn’t impede his ability to run and play with his other canine friends.
If you can give Romero the forever home he deserves, contact Tina at Galgos del Sol. You can also see the other galgos with Galgos del Sol, waiting for their forever homes.
