This is Carlos, who sadly lost one of his hind legs as a result of being shot. He is looking for his forever home in the UK. Here’s what Valerie Wood of Ibizan Hound Rescue says about him.
‘Carlos is a lovely boy, very nervous of strangers but once he knows people his so soft and loving.
Carlos was “rescued” by an Irish man who found him on his land. Carlos had been shot in the hind leg by hunters. The Irish man did his good deed by taking Carlos to the vets and saying that if they performed surgery he would pay for it and that Carlos was now his dog. Sadly Carlos was never collected from the vets and the bill was never paid.
The vet (a good friend of mine) contacted me and Carlos came under our care.
He is a sweet boy. Very afraid of strangers but so lovely once he trusts somebody. Carlos will travel to his foster home in the Uk at the beginning of December 2010. The lady fostering him already has two dogs from us and hopefully this lovely boy will soon find his forever home.’
If you can offer Carlos a forever home, please contact Valerie.

Carlos is doing fine. He’s a lovely boy who has been with us for nearly two years. We fostered him and ended up keeping him!
That is wonderful news, Nick. That’s the thing about fostering…fosterers often keep the dog – that’s how 2 of mine came to be permanent residents of my family! My readers and I are always delighted to hear the outcome of appeals which I post on Galgo News. Would you like to write me his story and his character and things he does, and I can post it for everyone to read.
