Podenca Maria, injured and surviving on the streets of Seville

Maria-10 Assn. ARCA Aug 2010 190 This little podenca is Maria, who was abandoned and has lived most of her life on the streets of a village near to Seville, too terrified to be caught. Searching for food amongst rubbish, dodging vehicles on the road, bearing puppies.

She was finally captured last month by an association ARCA, along with her 3 puppies. She has been hit twice by vehicles and has suffered a compression of the spinal cord which has resulted in a loss of feeling, and poor movement.

Maria-12 190 ARCA have arranged swith their vet for an operation to be carried out, to help Maria live as near normal a life as possible. The cost of the operation is 900 euros, on top of the cost of the private kennels where they keep the dogs they rescue till they are rehomed.
