Update on Ruso, the rough-haired galgo taken to Los Infiernos refuge in Murcia, where Tina is a volunteer. Because the refuge is in difficulties at the moment, we have been working behind the scenes at Galgo News and with GRIN in the US and Silvia in Valencia. Ruso travelled to Valencia where he has been seen by Silvia’s vet and x-rays taken of his injuries. He has a broken hip, which will require an operation.
Silvia will be sending more news when it is available. Bless this poor boy, he has been in such pain, but now he will get the best of care. Tina has used donations so far to cover his transport and towards the vet fees.

I’ve sent a donation to GRIN to help with Ruso. I am praying for him. The video is heartbreaking, he is so thin.

Bless you for caring. Yes, hes so thin – and because he was so full of worms he was vomiting them! But isnt it fantastic that he can walk about. When Tina found him in the refuge, he couldnt even stand up! Between the team behind the scenes, Tina has been able to send him to Silvia and he will now get the treatment he needs.
I so hope he can make a good recovery. My little podenca Bebe was rescued from a Seville motorway with a badly injured hip. It was two months before we could get her to me and my vet, who performed an operation, said the little dog may not ever walk properly – yet she is the fastest thing on 4 legs. The only time she has a bit of a problem is coming downstairs, when she carries the leg. Hopefully Ruso will be the same after the operation, just hope the worms havent had time to damage his intestines.
Thanks for caring and commenting.

Ruso stayed with me Sunday night and cried all night in pain. My heart is still broken. Thanks to everyone for helping me, you don’t know how much i appreciate it. I have some money to send but will do it at the end of the week when i hopefully have more. Thank You. Please give Ruso a big kiss from me. Had to worm the whole family after he stayed, no way had he been wormed previously as was suggested. xx
I have been thinking about him all day. It brought tears to my eyes that he was crying in pain. I’ll be sending some more money at the end of the month (pay day). He is in my prayers.
Ruso now is taking the meds and feels better,he eats so good and loves to be with people he is soooo sweet boy!
Next week the vet will operate him. Thanks for your help.
Silvia Silvia silvia, I am sending you giant cyber hugs right now. Thanks for helping me with this little man. I have 75euros here I need to send to you soon. xx
