70 hunting dogs desperately needing to move to shelters

No photo description available.

Yet another sad example of the horrors endured by Spain’s hunting dogs because there is no law to protect them.

The 6 month old puppies arrived from Alentejo this week.  They were brought to Tiny Shelter by the very kind Municipal vet of Alentejo, herself. They are lovely dogs and clearly so excited to be in a new place …away from the CHAOTIC AWFUL PLACE where they lived…
All have small cuts and sores, proof that they had to fight for food , but apart from that, they are lovely ,happy, GRATEFUL puppies, excitedly smelling and investigating everything. He immediately vaccinated them , gave them very good puppy food and toys.  These are some of the lucky ones, already removed … close to 20 have been removed…there are 50 left!

Others that were removed last week are safe and with trustworthy people we work with.  The MV is waiting for PERMISSION from the judge to remove others.. ..she has to wait and we all can just HOPE that the judge hurries with this order.. Burocracy gets on the way ..Portugal’s problem.  The hunter he likes the dogs …” in his own way” …trys to feed them…but the REALITY IS, abd COMON SENSE tells us all, that 70 + dogs cant live all piled up… fighting for food and space…

Lets keep up the faith…that the judge will authorise the removal of at least half.  VERY SOON.   The moment we have news, we will update.
If we dont…is because…. sadly… no go ahead of removal has been yet given…maybe the judge will authorise it gradually…
All of you, who have offered to take doggies, ARE ON OUR WAITING LIST….

THANK YOU IF YOU CAN HELP :
