Two stunning galgos rescued by Galgos del Sol in Murcia, looking for their forever homes – Lobo and Mario.

This stunning boy is Lobo, Tina says ‘He was reserved and then his home fell thru so poor sod has been in a kennel now for 4mths or so. He is approx 1yr-18mths, negative for diseases, great with other dogs, great with people, loves to play and as you can see he is sooooo handsome. His name is Lobo (wolf in english) as he has lovely yellow/greeny eyes.

Many of you will remember the appeal for funds to help pay for the operation for Mario, whose leg had been caught in a snare. Sadly the vet was unable to save the leg, but,like all the 3-legged ones, it won’t stop him being full of life, ready to play. Mario, 18 months old, is a really gentle boy, negative for diseases, vaccinated and castrated, lovely with other dogs and loyal to people even after all he has been thru. he was left to suffer like this for quite a while in pain. Needs a special home.

And here’s one they caught earlier today, after over a month of trying.

Tina again. ‘Finally after 3 weeks/1 month we have caught Juani today. After avioding many serious accidents, I saw her sunbathing so sat with her and put the world to rights. She then let me pick her up and put her in the car. So happy! She is 8-9years old, an old girl, very scared. She has made my day!

Out with the trap tomorrow to hopefully catch a sick boy in Dolores.’
