This is a computer translation of the story, so apologies for the grammar! ‘The Civil Guard of the region of Murcia, in collaboration with the service personnel of Health Animal of the direction General of livestock of the community autonomous of the region of Murcia, has dismantled, in the so-called ‘Preparing’, a shelter illegal operation of dogs in the municipality of Bullas (Murcia).
Facilities, a fenced field of little more than 1,000 square meters located in a rural area, were staying around 120 dogs of different ages and races, mostly corresponding to the varieties that often are used for the exercise of hunting like greyhounds, podencos, pachones and English setters, among others.
Some of the animals were overcrowded existing in a small area inside the hostel, according to sources of the Armando Institute. At the time of the inspection of the compound, two graves dug on the ground served as a deposit to the corpses of animals that were dying, commonplace considering the thinness most of them presented.
Indeed, the arrival of the agents to the place, the canines had no access to water and the only food which had were French fries. Some of the bodies had not been yet thrown any of pits and they were being eaten by other dogs inside the hostel.
The facilities, which lacked the mandatory licensing of activity and Declaration as the Zoo, and neither had a veterinary service to supervise their State of health, were very precarious, to the extent that some of the animals did not have a shelter from inclement weather. The dogs, which presented a skeletal appearance and in some cases had open wounds, lacked most of the corresponding canine health cards and had not been vaccinated against rabies. At the time of the inspection, the Civil Guard found dead of at least seven dogs on the premises.
The proceedings have been put at the disposal of the magistrate in guard duties in the judicial district of Caravaca de la Cruz, as well as the Prosecutor of environment and urban planning of the autonomous community of the region of Murcia.
The existing Penal Code punishable by up to one year’s imprisonment and disqualification for up to three years for the exercise of profession, craft or trade relating to animals, those who, by any means or process, unjustifiably mistreat an amansado, or domestic animal causing death or injury that would severely impair their care.
NB The tragedy here is that once Seprona take the dogs, they will probably be pts. Those of you who remember Operation Harry y Clavijo will recall that Seprona took over the stolen dogs and put them in a similar compound, out in the open, no shelter. Many of them became sick and died.

Bonjour
Feel free to share any info like this, I appreciate
help, as I get so many emails in and so many appeals that I cant always get
them up and posted straight away, especially as yesterday afternoon/evening I
was away from home. And it takes time for me to download pix, reduce
the size and then post.
