Galgo Randy – Pro-Galgo needs him to find his forever home

I’ve had a plea from Mo Swatek of Pro Galgo, as the association is desperately searching for a home for this stunning galgo recently rescued. If anyone can adopt him, please get in touch with her urgently. Here’s his story.

RANDY is about 4 years old and was found near a gasstation in the city
of Tarragona, (Catalonya) where no galgo hunting is practiced.
Due to the arrival of loads of travellers in the area, since july we
have rescued in and around Tarragona already 6 galgos, one is still
waiting in the local perrera to come to us but we have 21 dogs here and
it’s impossible to have him until some get adopted.

RANDY is kind, sometimes a little grumpy but never agressive, he loves cuddles but still gets in panic when you try to catch hin by his collar.

When rescued, he screamed desperatly because of his panic, he must have
been very badly treated and freezes when you grab his collar to rough.
he is perfect off leash, walks well on the leash and is a charming
fellow, he likes people but needs to know them a little before trusting
them.he is very much into “human food” and for a piece of saussage he does
what ever you want hin to do 😉

RANDY needs a home with one ore two female dogs where he can be the
spanish macho. he is already castrated and only needs to be tested ,
then he is ready to go. He is clean indoors, fine with small dogs, he loves to play with our yorkie LOLA. He is a tall dog, impressive when posing. he stays well alone in the
group and is ok bit bigger kids.
