Animal Protection Service launched in Alicante, Spain

Just had this news in about an animal protection service launched in the Alicante area. It’s to be hoped they will have some ‘clout’ and be able to prosecute animal maltreatment cases. But it’s the problem of abandoned dogs with their microchips cut out which will be a difficult one to police. Still, it’s a start. Let’s wish them every success.

Thank you, both, for your comments. It really
would be wonderful if this could get off the ground……..anything is better
than nothing to help the volunteers who rescue all the abandoned and injured
animals. I remember being in Majorca many years ago and seeing an SPA van
trashed……as much as possible the volunteers and associations work at
educating the younger generation that animal cruelty is not acceptable, so lets
keep fingers crossed that this service can make a difference in Alicante.
And that will include Brits who go back to the UK and abandon their animals –
    some of them deserve shooting!
    Thanks for caring and commenting.
