Galgos are still being abandoned, even though it is now the Spanish hunting season. This bitch was rescued by an English couple, exhausted and in danger of drowning in a canal. She was literally on her last breath when they dragged her out. They think she was in the canal because farmers were shooting at her the day before. She was exhausted. Tina says, ‘The couple still have her in their home but need a new place for her. They wont take her in the refuge because she is out of the border and to be honest after all she has been through its better she doesnt come in anyway..’. She is about 1 year old, her body already scarred, as you can see in the photo.
If you can help with foster or forever home, please contact Tina, who will also be very grateful for donations towards her microchip, vaccinations, castration.

Hi Tina
Donation sent by Paypal tonight. She’s gorgeous, but what sad eyes. Well done that English couple for rescuing her.
Hi guys. I need to correct this with Beryl as we have a misunderstanding. Phoebe was rescued near by just up the road and I was contacted by someone independently to see if i could help so i offered to do so however my help was not needed as she got a foster home extremely quickly I was told and support from K9 kennels I believe. Therefore I wont be having any contact or helping Phoebe as she is under care elsewhere. As you know ive had two new emergencies come up also. I will discuss with Suzie regarding the money, perhaps i could try and get it to them. Will see what she thinks but think its best. I will try and find out who to send the money to directly regarding Pheobe x

Anyone wanting to donate for Phoebe should send the money directly to the above. Many thanks. Its not Beryls fault… im rushing so much with my emails that I perhaps didnt make myself clear. All these galgos, so many emergencies, I never get a chance to slow down.
Thanks for posting the story Beryl, Ive made an enquiry and Pheobe is doing really well….. xx

Have just had contact from where Phoebe is staying and it looks like her potential home has fallen through therefore Phoebe is back on the emergency list. Unfortunately I can’t help her directly as we have a few emergency cases ourselves so if anyone can help please get in touch!
